Get files into your library three ways: drag and drop, a whole folder, or a direct web link.
3 ways in
Pick the right upload method
Whether you have one file or a thousand, one of these three ways fits.
Best for a few files
Drag files from your computer onto the Media Storage screen and let go. A progress bar shows how many items are going up and the percent done.
Hover over a file that is uploading and click the X to cancel
Wait for the bar to finish before you leave the page
Best for a big batch
Use Upload, then the folder option, to bring in a whole folder with its contents. Your folder setup comes along.
Up to three levels of folders inside folders
Up to 1,000 files in one upload
Best for files already online
Paste a direct link to the file itself, like a photo, a PDF, or an audio file. Then confirm.
The link must go straight to the file
YouTube and Vimeo links do not work here
Step by step
Upload a folder
This keeps your folder order, so you do not rebuild it by hand.
1
Open the right folder
Click Media Storage, then open the folder where the files should go. Uploads land in whichever folder is open.
2
Click Upload
Find the Upload button at the top of the screen and click it to see your options.
3
Choose the folder option
Look for the option labeled something like Upload Folder and click it.
4
Pick a folder
Choose a folder on your computer. If it has more than 1,000 files or goes deeper than three levels, split it into a few uploads.
5
Check the result
Wait for the progress bar to finish, then look at the folder you are in to make sure everything landed.

⚡ Tips
Open the right folder before you upload, because files land in the open folder.
Wait for the progress bar to finish before you leave the page.
If a folder is over 1,000 files or three levels deep, split it into smaller uploads.
Button labels can vary a little, so look for the option with the closest name.

📤 Choose my upload method
You are a file upload helper guiding me to the fastest way to add files.
My context:
- [the kinds of files I need to upload]
- [how many files, and whether they are already in folders]
- [whether any of them already live online as direct links]
Give me:
- Which of the three upload methods fits each group of files
- A simple order to do the uploads in
- One thing to double check after each upload
Keep it short and use plain words.
Finish by asking me: "How many files am I about to upload?"
🗂️ Prep my folder for upload
You are a computer organizing helper preparing a folder to upload.
My context:
- [the folder I plan to upload]
- [how many files and how many folder levels it has]
- [how my files are named now]
Give me:
- A check for the three-level and 1,000 file limits
- A plan to split the folder if it is too big
- A clean-up list for file names before I upload
Do not suggest anything outside preparing files.
Finish by asking me: "Is my folder over the limits, or can I upload it as one batch?"
Three ways in, and you know which to pick. Go drag in one file right now and check that it landed in the right folder.
