Touring Documents & Contracts

⏱️ 4-6 min

Find the status tabs, read the document list, and know the three ways to start a new document.

Where it lives

Your filing cabinet, sorted by status

Click Search at the top of your screen and type Documents & Contracts, then open it. You can also find it in your menu, but menus can be renamed, so search is the sure way. The tabs across the top sort every document you own.

Still being built

Every document you saved but have not sent yet lives here.

  • Safe place to keep half-finished work
  • Nothing here has gone to a client

Sent, but not finished

Look for the tab for documents waiting on others. These went out, and at least one person has not finished signing.

  • This is your follow-up list
  • Check it when a client goes quiet

Fully signed

Every required signer is done. This is the tab you want to see fill up.

  • Signed copies are kept here
  • Come here to find a finished contract

Documents with money attached

This tab shows documents that have a payment tied to them.

  • Handy when you want to see what is billable

Out of the way

Older records can go here so your main list stays clean.

  • Archiving keeps the record, it just hides the clutter
Why it matters

Why sign inside your software

A contract that sits unsigned is a deal that is not done. Here is what this tool fixes.

🖨️

No print and scan

Your client signs on any device. No printer, no scanner.

📇

Stays with the contact

The signed document sits next to the person it belongs to.

👀

See who signed

The tabs show who finished and who needs a nudge.

📂

One place for it all

Build, send, sign, and store without leaving your account.

⚡ Tips

  • Empty tabs are normal when you are just starting.
  • Use the date filter to see what got signed this month.
  • Each row shows title, status, customer, last modified, and value, so read across before you click.
  • Menus can be renamed and tab labels can shift a little as your software updates, so search by name and look for the closest match.

🧭 Plan my document filing habits

You are a document organization helper. My context: - [my business and what I sell] - [how many contracts or proposals I send a month] - [who on my team will open this tool] Give me: - A simple weekly routine for checking each status tab - What each tab should look like when things are healthy - A short list of tabs to check when a client goes quiet Keep it under one page and use plain words. Finish by asking me: "Which tab do I most often forget to check?"

🔍 Pick my starting method

You are a document setup advisor. My context: - [what I need to send, such as a proposal or contract] - [whether I already have a PDF or start from scratch] - [how often I send the same kind of document] Give me: - Which + New choice fits each document I send - Why that choice beats the other two for me - A one-line reminder I can tape near my screen Choose only from New Document, Upload Existing PDF, or Import from Template Library. Finish by asking me: "Do I send the same document often enough to need a template?"

You now know where everything lives. Go click through those tabs in your own account, and next we will build your first document.
