Your dashboard is customized

Your admin configured your dashboard around your specific workflow, so your screen will look different from a teammate's. Learn the overall layout and the navigation rather than memorizing one exact screen, and you will be able to find what you need regardless of how yours is set up.

Tips

Worth remembering

  • Use the back arrow to return to your full contact list after opening a specific contact.
  • Quick Search is the fastest way to find a contact or a piece of information. Reach for it before you start clicking through menus.
  • Only go into Settings when you actually need to update your profile, password, or signature. Everything else lives in the main panel.
  • You typically will not need to log out. Re-authentication comes around roughly every 30 days on its own.

📍Map the system to your actual week
You are helping me connect a CRM's navigation to the work I actually do, so I stop hunting for features. Here is my context: - My role: [your job title] - The five things I do most in a typical week: [list them] - The areas available to me are: Conversations, Contacts, Opportunities, Calendar, and Settings For each of the five things I listed, tell me: 1. Which area I would start in 2. The first thing I should click once I am there 3. Whether a shortcut button would get me there faster than the menu Rules for your answer: - One short line per item, formatted as a simple list - Do not explain what a CRM is, I already know - Do not name any specific software product - If one of my five things does not belong in the system at all, say so plainly Finish by asking which of the five I do most often, so you can suggest what to pin or shortcut first.
🔍Build your own orientation cheat sheet
You are helping me write a one-page cheat sheet for finding things in a CRM I just started using. Here is my context: - My role: [your job title] - What I keep losing track of right now: [describe it] - How comfortable I am with software generally: [not very / somewhat / very] Write me a cheat sheet with: 1. A "start here" line for each of these five areas: Conversations, Contacts, Opportunities, Calendar, Settings 2. Three search-first situations, where searching beats clicking through menus 3. Two things I should not worry about touching yet because my admin handles them Rules for your answer: - Under 300 words total - Plain language, written as instructions to me - No software brand names - Make it printable, so no long paragraphs When you are done, ask me which area still feels unclear so you can expand that one section.
Now that you can find your way around, let's make the system yours by setting up your profile.
