Remember how we talked about sending gift cards to specific people, as a loyalty reward, or just to thank someone for a referral? Here's exactly how to do it.
Sending is different from selling, there's no payment collected. It's perfect for a loyalty reward, a referral thank-you, or just making someone's day.
From Payments → Gift Cards, select Send, then choose the customer you want to send it to.
Write your own note, pick one of the suggested messages, or use AI to write it for you.
Select which denomination to send, then choose how: only the methods your contact can actually receive (based on the email or phone number on file) will be available.
Check the customer, delivery method, gift card code, value, and expiration date, then select Send Gift Card. You can schedule it for later instead of sending it right away.
What's available depends on the contact information you have on file for that customer.
The full visual version, complete with artwork, the amount, your message, expiration, and redemption instructions.
A clean, simple message with the link, no artwork. Only available if the contact has a phone number on file.
Delivers a scannable QR code by email, great for in-person redemption.
A downloadable, printable version of the gift card delivered by email.
Once it's sent, you can track it in a few places.
Shows the order number, who sent it, the code, delivery method, and totals. Sent cards show here, not under standard Orders.
Click through from the order straight to the contact, where the gift card also shows up in their conversation history.
Search the gift card dashboard for a specific customer's name to pull up every active card tied to them.
Finish these before moving to the next lesson. They only take a few minutes.
