Creating a Collector: Welcome Page

⏱️ 4-6 min

Build a friendly Welcome Page with a title, a face, a short How it Works note, and a welcome message, then save and preview it.

Step by step

Build the Welcome Page

Click Create Collector and you start on the Welcome Page step. Work top to bottom.

1

Public title

Fill in the Public Collector Title. It is the only required field and the big title your customer sees, so write it warm, like "Share your story with us."

2

Spokesperson

Turn on Spokesperson Image and upload a photo. Then add the person's name, role, and a short description.

3

How it Works

Add a sentence or two about what happens next, such as "Answer a few quick questions, record a short video, and you're done."

4

Welcome message

Write a short greeting from your spokesperson. Thank them and tell them it means a lot. Two short sentences is plenty.

5

Save and preview

Click Save, then Preview. Read the page top to bottom as a customer would, fix anything odd, save again, and preview again.

Make it friendly

What makes a first screen work

A friendly first screen is the difference between a recording and a closed tab.

😊

A real face

Pick a photo looking at the camera with good light. Skip blurry or far away shots.

✍️

Talk to one person

Write like you are speaking to one customer, because you are.

⏱️

Keep it short

Customers skim. Long text before recording makes some of them quit.

🛟

Preview every time

Preview is your safety net. It shows what a customer sees before any customer does.

⚡ Tips

  • Customers see the public title, not your internal name, so write it for them.
  • A rough first draft is fine. You can edit any of this later.
  • If your whole team handles testimonials, use the face customers already know best.
  • The button may read Create Collector or Create a Collector, so go by what you see.
