The fourth column in your Conversations view: Contact Details. Manage the owner, followers, tags, fields, DND, and quick actions, and learn to toggle between a conversation and the full contact record without missing a beat.
Contact Details opens next to a conversation and puts the whole contact within reach. Here is where you will use it most.
Jot a note about what you discussed while you're still talking.
Turn a hot conversation into a tracked opportunity on the spot.
Star the message and add yourself a task with a reason.
Assign an owner and add a follower so the right people stay in the loop.
When you select a message, Contact Details brings up everything about that contact. Click a tab to see what it does.
Set who owns the contact and who follows along. The owner powers Assigned to Me for the whole team, while followers just stay in the loop without taking on ownership.
Tag the contact and add custom fields right from the conversation. You never have to leave the thread to keep the record current.
Turn individual channels off when a contact prefers email only, or when you've flagged them as spam. This keeps you from messaging or marketing to them on a channel they don't want.
Create or link an opportunity, add the contact to a workflow, or grant client portal access, all in a click, without opening the full record.
Add tasks, notes, appointments, documents, and view payments without leaving the conversation. Click the bold contact name to jump there, then use the back arrow to return.
